On 2-3 November Bulgarian Industrial Association will organize the first meeting within the Project Steps2Scale as a start of 2 year project funded by the Erasmus + Programme of EU. The aim of the kick off meeting is to present the objectives and the activities of the project supporting the Scale Ups companies. The project will be implement in 4 countries – Bulgaria, Austria, Spain and Slovenia.

First day of the meeting was dedicated to E1 event with the participation of more than 50 local entrepreneurs and stakeholders as guests. Step2Scale project was presented, a core speech by Slovenian economist, round table with three local scale-ups, and an interactive workshop on fast growing mentors.
Second day meeting started with V.Iliev’s question “what’s happening after the project’s finalization” – possible commercialization of the outputs, or other way to implement the Qualification framework as common tool.
The next project meeting will be held in Bilbao, in March 2019.
The international conference “Wanna grow? – Steps to scale up management” aims at drawing the attention to the challenges and opportunities of scaling up business and growing start-ups. The conference will give the floor for discussions, networking and knowledge sharing among successful entrepreneurs from Bulgaria and Europe. During the afternoon session of Bar camp all participants will exchange experience, ideas and share knowledge on different topics with players in the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Europe.
The participants are entrepreneurs, investors, SMEs, ecosystem builders, international experts and professionals who consult, mentor, advice, train, coach start-ups and businesses in growth, service providers, etc.
Scale Ups are high tech companies with minimum 5 years of experience on the local market, already proven and well established market niche, developed internationalization strategy and readiness to go and find new markets and partners.,
Scaleups exists on top of a solid startup ecosystem and the Commission’s Start-up and Scale-up Initiative aims to give Europe’s many innovative entrepreneurs every opportunity to become world leading companies.
